CGLI Global Projects - Projects and Breakbulk

A large part of international trade is now done with containers. Nowadays many products are even designed with the internal dimensions of maritime containers in mind.
But there are always cargoes which are shipped on breakbulk or heavy lift vessels. Sometimes the supplier cannot stuff the containers because he loads with an overhead crane or the receiver cannot strip the containers because he does not have a ramp.

The members of the CGLI Global Projects division are experts in finding creative solutions for all such situations. A pre-carriage by train or barge? A mobile crane on a building site? Intermediate warehousing? Seaworthy packing? You name it, they can make it happen for you.

Shipping of such cargoes is done in many different ways: a breakbulk liner vessel, on a floor of flatracks on a container vessel, stuffed on flats or bolsters, (part) charters, etc…

The name of the game in this sub sector of freight forwarding is trust, reliability and providence. Our members in this division are fully aware that complete supply chains are depending on their planning and control of their subcontractors. A delay of two weeks in the supply of a drilling rig can result in a loss of production which can never be caught up.

Our members are also routinely confronted with delays in production and know that logistics are always expected to fix the gap. You can rest assure that our members will go the extra mile to serve you well.
Shippers, consignees and project managers can count on us to always act as a good house father, preventing problems or assisting you to solve obstacles when they do occur.

Freight forwarders who think they are up to the challenge, can apply for this division, in which the vetting process is very severe. Shippers, consignees and project managers can count on us to always act as a good house father, preventing problems or assisting to solve roblems when they do occur.
